Step-by-Step 1. First we meet with you to answer any questions you may have. At that time, we provide you with a packet of information which includes a list of questions to help jog your memory. 2. We then schedule the day and time for your first interview, which will be audio-recorded. 3. From the audio recordings, your story is transcribed, edited and organized using your own words. 4. We then meet for a second interview to fill in any missing details or for additional stories. 5. You receive a proof copy of the completed manuscript to read through and make corrections or changes. 6. Then it's time to scan your photos and design your book. 7. You will receive one final proof and then the book is sent off for printing |
The Interview Process (see below)
Our interview process is informal. We meet at your home or somewhere that you feel at ease. We are here to help and want you to feel comfortable sharing your life story with us... the good, the bad and the ugly (of course, it's your book, it doesn't have to be a "tell all"). We will be prepared with questions to help jog your memory and get the stories flowing. You may want to tell your whole life story or just focus on one area of your life, like your childhood, military, career, marriage or surviving a serious illness. Everything is strictly confidential -- you choose who reads your book or sees your videos. Kevin Prewitt, the interviewer, is a kind and compassionate man who cares deeply about helping people honor their families by creating these priceless legacies.
